Starting a business horse?
My family is interested in starting a business of horses. 1. 40 acres is big enough to mount a good stability? On average, how much time it takes to build a stable (s), and the door indoor riding arena, ect? 3. For those of you who own a business of horses, how money is the first start (buildings, horses, land, tack, employees, etc.)? What is the cost of maintaining each month? Annual? We plan to have: Horses for lease / sale boarding training lessons track riding (if our land is possible) and summer camp can racehorses, too.
I believe that 40 hectares will be sufficient … my barn is over 50 hectares, but we do not use a grass field and a walk only for horses summer and having a bit of grass and hay good enough for them to eat. I truly believe that only uses 3 / 4 of the land we have. Building a barn will take some time … think of how long it takes to build a house (mine after 3 months) and add the size of the barn over and additional construction for riding and stuff. Ohio University began to build his new barn in November 2005 and now it is done, unless the power company has to come to Once in power to have light and heat and stuff. I think most barns are finished in a shorter time than they have had … is difficult to build in Ohio during the winter due to snow and cold. As for the money, do not own a farm and could not imagine the costs … I know it's actually much … probably about hundreds of thousands of dollars. Remember that once you get a horse (even if you get a cheap ex-pilot) that there is more than the first time … you have to feed, veterinary blacksmith and horse until it is sold … and will cost in the time it takes to keep trained. 'First build the barn and look for interns during construction, and then buy some nice horses to start the lesson program, and then get some horses to sell and lease (and may let their horses lesson also make a plan … for a price that people come to mount a number of hours a week so you can still use the horse for lessons). From the Barn and the acquisition of horses will be expensive to start with the things that are going to bring some money before you spend too much. Good luck with the new barn!
