Preparing to send a horse trainer

Sending a horse away for training can be very stressful, especially if you know what to send with him. Fortunately, no need to be so bad. With a little planning ahead, and smart packing, your horse will be ready to school and you can relax and know that it's all packed.

Feed

If your horse is in a special food, you may want to keep it as is out. Ask the coach what they generally feed, and ask if you can send your own. Some coaches will give you a discount on your pension if you supply your own food, so be sure to ask in advance.

Pack your feed in a plastic garbage can with a lid large seal. Those who have wheels are best, because they are easy to move, even when full. You can use a permanent marker at the top to write the name of his horse and the amount of food they receive. Include a tablespoon for the measures to be accurate. Make sure the name of your horse is in the spoon as well, so do not go missing.

Finally, if your horse requires any supplement or medication, you must include with food. Again, write the dosage and the name of his horse in the package.

Team

Usually a coach will use its own saddle and bridle. If your horse tack needs to custom, will probably want to send it along with him. You can get his name on the tile from his seat in the local tack shop so it can not be confused with another person in the chair. If you have some special or horseshoe can be sent along as well, but always ask the trainer before sending any tactic. Flanges can be labeled with a plaque on the crown.

Its horse, of course, need a halter. The rope must be properly installed on your horse and you must have your name clearly on it. Must be in good condition. Some coaches will insist on a leather rope, but most left at the discretion of the owner. Find out if the barn halters leaves during external rotation or in the barn. If they do, considered a breach of a shield made of leather or a leather rope.

While a leadrope may be necessary in the premises of some of the trainers " Most stables have their own tracks. Yours is likely to grow legs and walk, so it is best left at home. Fly masks are a good addition in the summer, but again must be clearly labeled with a permanent marker. If your horse needs boots or bandages for external rotation or when working, are included, but make sure your horse's name is on them.

If you need your horse covering, send in any of the blankets he wears. Make sure they are in good condition and are labeled. The blankets unless you send, the better. Many barns do not like about complex plans blanketing, so do your best to keep things simple.

Paperwork

But what many may think is not like the paperwork with your horse. Make up a folder to store this information and clearly marking your name and the name of his horse. A page should include information about your horse barn name, its registered name, age, race, height, color, any brand, any special needs you may have. Another page must have all your information: your name, address, telephone number, contact emergency. This page should also include contact information for your veterinarian and farrier. While the coach may prefer to use your own veterinarian and farrier, contact with it in an emergency. A third page should include all the usual routines of your horse care. Talk turn your exit routine scheduled training current feeding schedule, and that any may have peculiarities.

Sometimes a horse that goes to a coach is for sale. If so, include information horse on your file would be ideal to give a potential buyer. Make at least 10 copies of the sales sheet so the coach does not have to worry about giving the single copy. Include a photocopy of your documents horse, if registered.

Another thing to consider is that their coach may request that a commission If you find a buyer for your horse. Make sure you have a clear contract for the sale and are ready to sign the coach. You also want to include a copy of boarding and training agreement on the folder and a sort of disclaimer that keeps the coach or his staff sue if they get hurt by horse.

Extras

Generally, unless you send with your horse, the better. Anything you send has the potential to get lost, so do not try to send anything too valuable. Consumables such as fly spray is probably the other horses, so do not expect to remain for the exclusive use of his horse. Label everything clearly permanent marker to reduce the possibility of losing and to minimize illegal use. Find out how much space is available for your horse for your computer, and send over a secure container to store your belongings. An alternative idea is to get a cloth bag can be hung from his halter hook, rack or from the blanket.
